The database's multi-tiered classification system identifies roads based on their attributes, such as: primary highways, primary highway ramps, secondary highways, secondary highway ramps, major roads and major road ramps.

Highways and Major Roads was derived from MapInfo's premier StreetPro® Display product. As a result, Highways and Major Roads contains MapInfo's value added features, such as lengthened and fewer road segments for quicker display, highway shields, and enhanced display styles.
