Overview

The debut release of Nielsen Pop-Facts Supplemental provides demographic data as a mid-year update to the annual version of Pop-Facts®. The updated data allows users to analyze and report on demographic data more frequently. Pop-Facts Supplemental covers the basics of population, households, income, education, and home value.

 

Variable Categories

Pop-Facts Supplemental variables are presented in the following three categories:

  • Affluence & Education
  • Housing & Household Composition
  • Population & Race

 

 

New Data Sources

There are meaningful and valuable benefits to licensing Pop-Facts Supplemental. The household, population, home value and income data are based on the latest inputs provided since the annual Pop-Facts release – Census, American Community Survey (ACS), USPS Postal counts, Valassis (ADVO) new housing unit counts, National Association of Realtor home sales prices, and The Federal Housing Finance Agency Home Price Index.

 

This supplemental data can only be purchased in conjunction with Pop-Facts annual demographics.

 

In particular, home values within Pop-Facts Supplemental greatly benefit from recent data inputs and now more closely track the rapid change in the housing market.

The target date for estimates is July 1 of the relevant year.
