Sneak Peek at PCensus Version 9
Here are
the top four features in PCensus 9:
- Custom Geography Wizard - This is a big feature for users who routinely
work with non-census boundaries like postal walks or franchise areas.
PCensus creates a new database with a summary level that matches your
mapped boundaries for improved thematic maps, profiles and target lists.
- New Interface for More Efficient Work Flow - the Task window allows
faster access to common tasks like profiling predefined areas, target
lists, thematic mapping and radius reports. Many tasks are now reduced
to one 'click' of the mouse.
- The new Database Explorer lets
you visualize the relationships between different types of areas. For
example, you can select only the ZIP codes that are located in a
specific city or county.
- Integration with Virtual Earth -
Yes, this is a big one. For users with PCensus for MapInfo (with Mappoint
also installed), PCensus 9 includes access to the popular Virtual Earth aerial
imagery.
